Meet your Mile High Farmers
Officers, Committee chairs, and Staff!
Our leadership is made up of four officers and the chairs of each of our committees. Our leadership team and staff serve at the pleasure of the voting body of our current partners. We welcome producers and farm advocates alike to join our ranks to bolster the mission of our collective and help vote on important organizational stances and annual officer selections.
Officers
Co-Presidents: Alexis Albanez & Krystyn "Yy" Dennis
Meet the Co-Presidents of Mile High Farmers, Alexis Albanez and Yy (Krystyn Dennis), who bring a wealth of experience, passion, and vision to their leadership. Alexis, born and raised in Denver, is deeply rooted in the local food system through her roles as Assistant Farm Manager at Frontline Farming, Northwest BIPOC Representative on the National Young Farmers Policy Committee, and co-chair of Mile High Farmers’ Policy and Land Access Committee. With a background in Biology and Spanish from Metropolitan State University of Denver, she is committed to advancing racial equity, building community, and supporting farmers through policy, land access, and education. Yy, a Regenerative Agriculture Specialist for the City of Wheat Ridge, brings her love for soil health, community education, and creative approaches to waste stream reuse into her leadership. Having worked internationally in Costa Rica and Spain before joining Mile High Farmers, she now leads with a focus on cultivating farmer-led education events, strengthening seed initiatives, and growing the Producers’ Summit. Together, Alexis and Yy balance their unique strengths to guide Mile High Farmers in building community, uplifting farmer voices, and growing a resilient and equitable food system.

Additionally, Jon plans to expand sponsorships and secure grants to promote equity, sustainability, and sovereignty in the food system.
